Lithium-rich spodumene concentrate is a feedstock material used in the production of lithium chemicals that go into batteries for Electric Vehicles (EVs) and other renewable energy requirements.
The supply of spodumene concentrate remains structurally constrained – so that meaningful lithium supply response is highly dependant on uptake of low grade, CO2 intensive Chinese lepidolite production.
